Cacao Butter

This is a subtitle for your new post

Otherwise known as theobroma oil, cacao butter is the fat of the sacred cacao bean.

After roasting, the cacao bean is pressed. The oil is then separated.  This is the hard cocoa butter, and the rest is powdered into cacao or cocoa. Cacao butter is what gives edible chocolate the beautiful smooth-mouth feel we all love.

When used on the skin, the fat in cacao butter creates a protective layer, holding in the skin's natural moisture. It is believed to improve skin elasticity, which is what makes it so popular in skin care products.

More importantly, cacao butter is high in phytochemicals which can improve blood flow to the skin, slowing the aging process and sun damage.

In addition to these benefits, at Blossom Earth we LOVE the consistency that it gives to our magnesium creams. They melt in just the perfect way with the warmth of your fingers making it easy to apply.

And best of all... IT SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE!!! Nom nom nom!

Our balms honestly smell good enough to eat.

Cacao is also a sacred medicine of South America. It has an active ingredient in it called theobromine—which can literally be translated to “Food of the Gods.” ixCaxao (pronounced ‘ish-cacao’) is the goddess of cacao. Her name translates to “cacao woman”. She is a heart-opening Goddess of the Earth, banishing hunger and providing #abundance for all.

When you use Blossom Earth creams, so rich in Cacao Butter, you are connecting in with the Goddess ixCacao; bringing her love and abundance into your life and body.

The benefits of Blossom Earth magnesium creams goes well beyond magnesium, supporting you physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually in your journey of personal growth.

Trauma - which is any event, or series of events, which we ourselves internally perceive as traumatic - affects the delicate balance in every system in our body.

I’ve been quiet this week as I’ve been on holidays... ahhhhhh ☺️ I woke at 2:45am this morning to head to the airport and was gifted that tight, squeezing, ouchy belly that, for me, sometimes comes just before my bleed. That, combined with the internal guessing game of *is that my period starting?* every few minutes is not ideal when undertaking an economy class flight 😳 Here’s my tips on how to manage this in the most comfortable way: 🌺 Use Pain End-o ~ A LITTLE BIT OFTEN, WHEREVER IT HURTS ~ Keep it in your pocket or carry on so it’s easily accessible. Go to the toilet to apply or just stick your hand down the front of your jeans, who cares what anyone else thinks. Your comfort is more important than their judgement. 🌺 Drink as much water as is comfortable. Don’t bloat yourself, but good hydration will allow the muscles to replace easier. 🌺 Eat lightly. Eating heavy, stodgy, slow-to-digest food will contribute to slow moving energy in your body. (Eating heavier foods than normal this week would have contributed to my pain). Also avoid any foods that you know are inflammatory for you. 🌺 Avoid coffee, sugar and alcohol. Dehydrating. Inflammatory. Delicious on the lips, pain-increasing on the hips ☹️ 🌺 Move your body gently, as much as you can. Gentle walking or stretching promotes good circulation, helping the blood move stress hormones out of the body, and hydration into the muscles. It also creates warming of the muscles which eases pain and aids relaxation. 🌺 Wear period undies. This takes the pain out of the guessing game and protects your clothes. 🌺 Take analgesics if necessary and make sure you have these accessible too. 🌺 Give yourself permission to listen to your body, and give your body what it needs while travelling. Walk the aisle on a flight; stop the car often for breaks to stretch. See you soon Perth ✈️

Magnesium is a mineral that is necessary to all bodies in order to complete hundreds of cellular processes; from efficient nerve communication; having healthy mitochondria; muscle relaxation right to the contractions and relaxation of the bowel to move faeces to the anus (yes, I totally just talked about poo!). Is it safe? There are many forms of magnesium supplements available, mostly oral tablets. Some good quality forms of magnesium. Some not. The beauty of topical magnesium aka dermal magnesium is that it absorbs through the skin (your biggest organ), bypassing the digestive system and going straight to the muscles and local blood supply of the area that most needs it. Magnesium Chloride is the magnesium that absorbs with the most effective transference into the body. And so, that is what we use in our products. With Blossom Earth Magnesium Products there is no waste, no filler, only 100% natural ingredients to give you the most effective magnesium hit you can get. Blossom Earth Magnesium Products also contain Flower Essences & Essential Oils. Flower Essences are safe for everyone to use. Essential Oils require some guidance. Of all of our products only Pain End-o & Women’s Vitality have any contraindications - they cannot be used by pregnant women before 37 weeks pregnant. This is because one of our ingredients which supports women’s health so beautifully, can also bring on uterine contractions, and this before 37 weeks gestation is not wanted or safe! The great news these products are safe from 37 weeks, through labour and into postpartum. Essential oils, and therefore our products, should never get used on cats, who are sensitive to oils. Our products are safe for dogs and horses. All of our products are safe to use on children and babies too. Our products are safe to use in combination with over the counter & prescription medications, so long as these medications are used under medical guidance. This is great news for those who are using Blossom Earth products for pain relief - it is NOT an either/or scenario! Blossom Earth Magnesium Products are fast becoming essential in many homes because they are safe, and effective according to our customers.
Suffering from Hay Fever?
By Jo Lockhart October 30, 2020
In Australia Spring has sprung. I’m seeing and hearing of lots of people with watery, itchy-eyes, sneezing, stuffy noses and brain-fog caused by pollen and #drygrass molecules travelling in the breeze. Chest Ease is our immune magnesium cream that our customers report reduces mucous, lessens watery eyes, eases coughs, and gives mental clarity back. All drug-free, chem-free and 100% natural. 😁 This is my five year old. Being an allergy child he gets hay fever. He’s now asking for Chest Ease regularly to reduce symptoms, and was happy to share a bit about his experience. We even packed it in his school bag for his teachers to apply during the day. If applying Chest Ease to the face be sure to avoid contact with the eyes. Re-application can be done as often as every 30 minutes. Small amounts often is the best way with hay fever.

For those of us who have experienced cracked heels, we know just how painful it can be. Much more painful than it looks! Many customers have reported that a very positive side effect of applying their Blossom Earth magnesium cream to their feet is that it heals their cracked heels. It heals your heels! So while getting a dose of magnesium, the delicious natural oils in our balms soften your skin and support your foot to once again become supple. All our balms will be equally effective. No more foot pain. Here's what one customer had to say: "Hey Jo. I just wanted to say a big thank you for your amazing magnesium creams. I used the Create Calm on my sore cracked heels, and after two nights they are healed. Before I used the Create Calm, I used a tube of NS8 Heel Balm and it did nothing - if anything, my heel was worse the next day. So thank you for saving my feet. xx"
